Three ways we make a difference

Prevention programmes
Prevention

Helping people lower their own risk

We turn the best evidence into practical, plain-English guidance — on smoking, weight, sun, screening and more — so people can act on what actually works, without fear or false promises.

Research to reduce cancer rates
Research

Backing research that changes outcomes

We fund work on earlier detection and smarter treatment, including imaging biomarkers that help predict who truly benefits from chemotherapy — sparing others its toll.

Promoting health and support
Support

Standing with people through diagnosis

From the first two weeks after diagnosis to living well afterwards, we help people understand their choices and find the right support at the right moment.

Milestones on the road to 2050

2024

Killing Cancer Kindly is founded

Launched by Dr Mohammad Muneeb Khan with a single aim: cut the lifetime risk of cancer from 1 in 2 to under 1 in 20 by 2050.

2025

The free guidance library opens

Our first medically reviewed guides go live, offering clear, calm cancer information free to everyone.

2026

Funding earlier-detection research

Our aim: to begin co-funding studies into imaging biomarkers and earlier detection with research partners.

2030

Prevention at national scale

Our goal: partner with the NHS and community groups to bring evidence-based prevention to millions more people.
